Rose Rabow opened her gallery the Rose Rabow Galleries in 1959 after the death of her French husband, gallery owner Alexandre Rabow (the Rabow Gallery). After Alex and Rose saw the 1951 DYNATON exhibition at the Museum of Art in San Francisco, Alex began to exhibit American artists - Lee Mullican and Gordon Onslow Ford. Rose continued to exhibit these artists adding ten more American artists to her gallery, creating her unique vision.
