Studied at the School of Fine Arts, with Clyfford Still and Mark Rothko, San Francisco, 1947-1950; Lived and worked in France, Italy, and North Africa 1950-1955; Lived and taught in New York City 1960-1961, Traveled and taught widely Texas, Hawaii, Russia, California; Died in 1993.
